Beginning Sept. 14, the Rev. Pamela Meeks will join Epiphany’s staff as the interim associate minister.
In this position, Pamela will make sure that our children and youth ministries continue to disciple kids and their families, and assist in preaching, leading Sunday worship, and pastoral care at Epiphany. This is a part time position, and as such, doesn’t fully replace Fr. Michael’s role and responsibilities as the associate rector after his last Sunday on September 13. That said, it is an important position in that it will give Epiphany the pastoral support needed to undertake a thorough and prayerful search for our next associate rector.
Pamela lives in Leesburg with her husband David, her teenage son Jonathan and high school senior daughter, Tara. The Meeks’ also have a sophomore daughter, Brianna at William & Mary in Williamsburg. A graduate of Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, Pamela was ordained to the priesthood in 2010. She is currently serving part time as a church planting team member with Church of the Apostles at George Mason University and served as the Director of Outreach at Potomac Falls Anglican Church. She currently serves on two diocesan committees.
Before attending seminary, the Meeks family served as missionaries with Interserve in Turkey from 1994-2005. Pamela also worked as a staff member with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship.
“I’m very glad to invite Pamela to ministry at Epiphany this fall and grateful for her willingness to take on this important, but challenging, interim role at our church. Please join me in welcoming her to this ministry,” said the Rev. Peter Frank, Epiphany’s rector.
