First and foremost, expect to encounter God through scripture, sacraments and prayer when you worship at Epiphany. Worship is why we exist and is at the heart of who we are and what we do.
Epiphany follows a way of worship that is both traditional and contemporary. Our Sunday services are at 8 and 10:15 am. The 8am service is quiet and traditional, using the 2019 Book of Common Prayer. The 10:15 am service uses a more contemporary liturgy from the 2019 Book of Common Prayer. Our music at 10:15am is a blend of congregational hymns led by the choir and organ and contemporary worship music led by one of several Epiphany bands.
Like Christians since the time of Jesus, we celebrate Holy Communion together every Sunday at both services. We hear God’s Word read from the Bible, and listen as our ministers apply it to our lives here in Northern Virginia. Most sermons are about 20 minutes long. Services are about an hour and 15 minutes. Epiphany welcomes all baptized and believing Christians to receive Communion.
Epiphany encourages children too young to receive Communion, or others who do not wish or are not able to for any reason, to come forward to receive a prayer of blessing.
Healing and prayer are a big part of what we are about at Epiphany. Anointing with oil for healing and prayer teams are available at every Sunday service.
