Do you need a rest from your stressful routine? Spend a day in quiet reflection in Scripture, worship and journaling. This summer’s quiet day will focus on how icons can help us to worship God using art and visuals. Our guest teacher is Elizabeth Hudgins who will present meditations on the theology and meaning of icons in Christian worship and prayer.
Schedule:
- 9:00 Morning Prayer and Meditation #1: “A Basic intro to Icons- what they are and are not”
- 10:30 Meditation #2 and Reflection: “Theology of Icons”
- 12:00 Lunch
- 1:00 Meditation #3 / Reflection: “How to use Icons in Prayer”
- 3:00 Closing Eucharist and Blessing
