Jesus doesn’t love us because we’re good. At the same time, we are called to be good because Jesus loves us.
Thus summer, we will be exploring this call to goodness, that is to live a life of a certain character, at our summer teaching series beginning at 6pm on July 8. Fr. Peter, who will be teaching this July, will be exploring why character matters (but Jesus saves) as well as considering how the classic three virtues (Faith, Hope and Love) and the Seven Deadly Sins (Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and Pride) connect to our lives today. The four-week class (July 8, 15, 22, and 29) will begin with a simple supper at 6 pm, and then be followed by an hour of teaching from 6:30-7:30.
“These classes are great opportunities to deepen and broaden our faith, as well as spend time with your friends at Epiphany. Please join me at the church beginning on July 8 at 6pm,” said Fr. Peter.
There is s sign-up in the fellowship area at church. You may also sign-up by sending Fr. Peter an email.
