Epiphany’s ministry extends beyond helping our immediate neighbors.
We support individual missionaries and mission organizations who work to spread Christianity throughout the nation and the world. For example:
Missionaries reaching out to Virginia high school and college students: Epiphany provides financial assistance to a married couple who grew up attending Epiphany and who now counsel and share their faith with high school students in the Roanoke area. We also support the George Mason University chapter of CRU, which evangelizes to both domestic and international students.
International missionaries: Honoring the command in Matthew 28 to make disciples of all nations, Epiphany assists a pastor who tends to a flock in Belgium while also training new ministers in Europe and Africa. One of our other missionaries is working with a Middle Eastern minority community to translate the Bible into their native language. Another organization we support provides schooling in Tanzania for disadvantaged children, including those with albinism, using a Christian-based curriculum.
Because Epiphany views the college experience as an opportunity to connect with young adults in other countries, we provide financial support to Global Scholars, which supports Christian professors in secular universities in almost 100 countries, and Uganda Christian University, which educates thousands of students from much of Africa. We also work with SAT-7, which broadcasts educational programs and provides on-demand Christian-based programming to viewers in the Middle East and North Africa.
