SPECIAL NOTE ON WEATHER FOR SUNDAY JANUARY 5
Freezing rain is predicted in our area tomorrow morning (Jan. 5). We have been watching forecasts and thinking about what that might mean for our scheduled worship service. Tom Will, Epiphany’s senior warden, and I have made the decision that as of now, we will be going ahead with the 10 am service.
REMINDER: No 8 am Service January 5
Epiphany will be having a joint service at 10 am tomorrow, January 5, for Epiphany Sunday. We will be coming together as a congregation to worship, thank outgoing vestry members and install the 2014 vestry.
Thank You! Christmas Eve Outreach Report
Starting this past November we encouraged you to invite friends and family members to church for Christmas Eve. Led by the visibility committee (Cynthia Aungst, Allison Hammond, Daniel Johnson and Catherine Zimmerman), we distributed hundreds of postcards with service information, invited our neighbors at Kendrick Court to join us for worship and provided rides for those who otherwise wouldn’t have been able to be out on Christmas Eve. It worked!

Pointing to Jesus – Bishop John Guernsey’s Sermon on Dec. 15
Bishop John Guernsey made his annual visit to Epiphany on December 15. He confirmed nine Epiphany youth and received three adults into the Anglican Church.

Bishop John Visiting Epiphany December 15
On December 15, Bishop John Guernsey will be making his annual visit to Epiphany. During his visit, he will confirm the youth that have been working through confirmation class with Fr. Michael. During that Sunday morning service, there is also an opportunity for adults to either “reaffirm” their faith or be “received” into the Anglican Church in North America and receive a blessing from the Bishop as they make that decision.
