Being a Christian includes a call to a certain kind of life as a response to God’s grace in Jesus Christ – one shaped by Faith, Hope and Love (1 Corinthians 13.13), but how do we live that kind of life, and who can we learn from as we travel that way at home and at work here in Northern Virginia? Dr. Phil Harrold, associate professor of church history at Trinity seminary will be our guide Oct. 24-26 as we spend time together considering this question at this year’s parish weekend.

Peter Frank To Be Church of the Epiphany’s Third Rector
By unanimous decision of the vestry and with the approval of Bishop John Guernsey, Church of the Epiphany has called the Rev. Peter Frank to be Epiphany’s next rector. Fr. Frank will begin his service as rector on August 31, after the retirement of the Rev. Robin Rauh, Epiphany’s current rector.
Epiphany Finishes 2014 Fiscal Year – Reports on Income and Expenses
Church of the Epiphany’s Finance Committee, led by Scott Reiter, has put together a detailed financial report on the just completed fiscal year. The report, which provides information on Epiphany giving and expenses from July 2013 through June 2014, highlights and explains places we either over or underspent our approved budget, and shows how we completed the year with income and expenses coming within .5 percent of balancing.

Epiphany Upgrades Live Video Feed of Sunday Worship
Starting this Sunday, July 20, we have upgraded our service by removing advertisements and increasing the image quality of the video. If you are unable to come to church on Sunday, joining Epiphany for worship over the internet is simple.

Heaven, Hell and the End of the World: Summer Teaching Series Starts July 9
Mark your calendars, the next installment of Epiphany’s adult teaching series will begin Wednesday, July 9. The title for this four week course (July 9, 16, 23 and 30) that will be taught by Fr. Peter Frank is “Heaven, Hell and the End of the World.” Sessions will begin at 6 pm with a simple dinner. Teaching will begin at 6:30 and conclude at 7:30pm.
Day of Prayer: Walking with God through Pain and Suffering
June 14, from 9 am to 3 pm will be a day of worship, prayer, spiritual teaching, solitude and silence at Epiphany. Our teacher will be Elizabeth Hudgins along with worship led by Tracy Guernsey.
